4 Days of Work
No no, I haven't been working DURING my finals.
I was working before my finals...which made my three weeks of exams quite disastrous because I had to forgo sleep and call in MANY all nighters.
It is so bad that I am officially nocturnal. I can't sleep at night, AT ALL. It is almost 7AM in the morning and I haven't slept, yet.
So anyways, when I came back to Penang for my study break, I met up with Jamie and Benice who was, at the time, working part time in Forever 21 and they asked if I would want to make a few extra bucks and of course, I could not resist.
I went for it.
And I few days later, I found myself scurrying around Forever 21, putting clothes and arranging them back to where they belong.
The worse was when I had to memorize the floor plan on where each apparel of each collection goes. It's not very hard to do it, but to find where it was hung was..well, quite a challenge.
It was easy to remember where the maxi's, shirts and knitted wear were but when it came to cottons with stripes, my, there were so many in various thickness and colour...and most of them were from totally different collections.
Oh well, at least it is over...and I get paid.
It was, an experience. I don't think I can survive more than three months of being a sales person in a mall. I mean, I love malls, don't get me wrong but to work in them? No matter how much I love fashion and all that, being close to the same thing and just helping people out with folding and hanging clothes just throws the inspiration out the window.
Do I even have to start with the ache on my feet?
FOUR DAYS and I am done.
Phew.
Another thing was that time passes ever so slowly when the brain is not actively working to solve something or to think about something.
At the end of the day, I find myself playing the hide and seek game with prints.
Okay, so yeah, that is about my very short experience with Forever 21. I thank God that is over, and that my exams are over too.
PRAISE THE LORD because now I can bake... and I know what is first up on the menu... Lemon Walnut Tea Cake!
