Precious People

Beth Moore could not have spoken better about good and Godly company and I am SO GLAD that I have them.

And I love them to BITS!

You know, when one hears Godly, they would think that these 'people' would quote verses and rebuke your ungodly character...

Please.

Think again.

They are the most irritating, insulting, crazy and yet, the most wonderful people I will ever get to know!
(I wonder if my effort to appear oxymoronic is working?)

My first night out was with Benice Malini, Jamie Loh, Wilson Ooi, Benedict and Daniel Chan and that was when I told them my secret. (If you don't know what was the secret, you can just read the post before this)

They were shocked, and later, they start to BAWL away in laughter.

Of course, they inquired so much about my new fancy and I was so glad I was able to let it out!

The next day, it was a GIRLS DAY OUT with Sarah Choong, Mariel Nonis and Benice Malini.

We were supposed to go hiking but it was raining and raining and raining. We ended up having breakfast and ditching the idea of hiking.

That was when Mariel asked about my previous blog post.

I must say it caught me by surprise. I mean, who still reads my blog? It has passed its glory days and what I am doing now to my dearest blog is like pumping botox to an already wrinkled old face to boost a little of whatever beauty it still holds.

Anyway, I told them about the non-Christian crush (see Daniel, my guts in admitting what I couldn't admit the other night!), and they were not like, 'OH MY GOODNESS YOU SINNER!!' of course, if they said that, I would have walked straight to the car and left them at the coffee shop.

Would I?

Nah, I don't think so.

BUT ANYWAY (why do I always change MY own topic???), they started to tell me about their own experience about being somewhat involved with guys who are not of the godly kind.

Oh am I just blessed with such friends!

I asked them to pray that I get out from this matter as soon as possible. It's not like I was looking out for any potentials whatsoever, but sometimes, feelings just emerge out of nowhere, sometimes out of loneliness and sometimes out of desperation and other times, I am not too sure.

But you know what, when I start questioning myself about my faith, I know, deep down in my heart that I will not compromise.

Why?

His LOVE for me is too great, His mercies, His grace, how am I even able to comprehend it.

I like how John Mark McMillan puts it in his song 'How He Loves'.
There is a phrase, 'If grace is an ocean, we're all sinking.'

This dude, this little feeling for him does not make a drop of water from that ocean. I might be distracted by his smiles and his humour but looking at the bigger picture, it pays off to just obey the One God.

I quote Beth Moore again,
'Disobedience to God DEFORMS the heart but Obedience to God REFORMS the heart.'

Of course, when interest comes in, I sometimes wish everyone I come across with is a Christian and that the older Christian men I actually meet would not be such 'humourless poppy-cups' and that, I quote Elizabeth Bennet from Ang Lee's rendition of 'Pride and Prejudice' that I have watched at least 30 times.

So there, I am on my way to redemption thanks to my much needed trip back to Penang. I wonder what my mom will have to say after she reads this.

Hmmm.

But really, I thank God for wisdom to discern the problem and work towards solving it. I thank God for such fantastic friends that are such an encouragement (though I don't think Wilson's 'Stage Three' is of any help!!!).
Oh they are so precious!!!
